It's that time of the year again. Time to spring clean, or rather spring organise. I came across this tutorial for making fabric storage buckets on Pinterest and pulled out my store of calico and interfacing and got to work this afternoon.
The instructions from Apartment Apothecary are super simple to follow, and involves only straight stitching so it would be a great beginner's project for adults or kids (plus, these are super useful!).
I loved making the random dot pattern on the fabric, so much more freestyle than the patterns I explored for my recent post, Creating patterns for fabric. I think I'll follow Katy's lead and make more in different sizes. I just love pretty storage! Now, I just need to decide what to put inside... embroidery floss, unfinished knitting projects, my collection of silk scarves?
